#Viura or #Macabeo as it’s called in most parts of #Spain is a challenging grape to create excellent wine with. Only the older vines with more concentrated grapes and wines which include some barrel fermentation seem to conduct it towards elegance. This is a very lovely example of Macabeo — 9 months ago
This is overrated by Luís Gutierrez of #robertparker He gave it 90 and while it is a clean wine, it is very simplistic and has coarse tannins. I agree with everyone here that it should be drunk young and chilled and preferably from a “bota” or “porrón” straight shot into your mouth. A great wine with charcuterie and picnic style. #castillayleón #castillayleon #castilla #spain #biodynamic — a year ago
Light and fruity with red cherry aromas and a little funk on the nose, dances on the palate with tart cherry and very balanced acid and tannins. Wants some roasted meat! Oaked vs Unoaked Rioja tasting - the unoaked one. #spain #wanderlust2022 — 5 months ago

Very elegant riper creamier style #chardonnay One of the better that I’ve had from #Spain The best Chardonnays in Spain are definitely coming from #somontano and #aragon These Colección wines are designed for the Asian market and the bottles are ridiculously heavy and the capsules are heavy thick tin capsules. I wish we could all progress and be more Ecological — a year ago

Rich vanilla nose with ripe blackberries and almost raisin notes that also come through on the palate. Smooth with balanced acid and tannins. Happily sipped alone. Oaked vs Unoaked Rioja tasting - the oaked one. #spain #wanderlust2022 — 5 months ago
