Pretty nose of ripe citrus fruits, spices, apricots, ripe apples, light caramel, honeysuckle, fresh honey and minerals.

Full bodied and creamy, with medium plus acidity.

Sweet on the palate with honeysuckle, light nuts, apples, ripe citrus fruits, spices, apricots, dried fruits and honey notes.

Long finish with honey and white pepper.

This 6 year old sweet wine from Sauternes feels very young and fresh, especially on the nose. Rich and extracted.

This Second Growth Sauternes is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next few decades.

Elegant and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Creamy and complex. Just gorgeous.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and a great dessert wine.

A blend of 90% Sémillon with 10% Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

2021 vintage. Last tasted 07.23.24 (9.2). This bottle (like that one, tasted at a fave resto) chilled down a bit and traced over 1.25 hours. That bottle $120 then...now...same bottle $140 off the list. This visit a tad tighter and closer to the vest. Still very nice. 01.21.25. — 5 months ago

Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2010 pours a hazy garnet/purple color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of tart, ripe and desiccated fruits: blackberries, black licorice, horse blanket, some animale, mushrooms, forest floor, rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It has been eight years since I last enjoyed this vintage of the VV and it continues to age with a lot of grace. Drink now through 2030+. — 13 hours ago

Huge dark fruit and still primary at this time. The oak is hardly noticeable given its age and the tannins are soft. This can age based on the amount of fruit, I just wonder how it will hold up given how soft the tannins are. Definitely drinkable now. — 5 months ago
