Double L Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

Cherry pie, rhubarb pie, and fresh strawberry on the nose. The palate displays dark cherry, cooked strawberry, cedar, white pepper, and solid minerality. A big bodied but silky Pinot with medium minus tannins, medium plus alcohol, and high acid. — 5 years ago

Château La Tour-Martillac

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2016 pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: cassis, blackberries, raspberries, red plum, tobacco, a touch of bell pepper, earth, old wood, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A classic expression of Bordeaux during a period where the lines between New and Old World have been blurred. This is tasty and showing well in its early drinking window. Drink now through 2036+. — 5 months ago

Brut Rosé 1er Cru Champagne Blend

Blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and small amounts of local varieties: Arbanne, Petit Meslier and Fromenteau, stainless vinification, pale salmon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and floral notes. On the palate fresh fruit tastes of raspberry and peach with lemony tones. Great balance, good bubble bead flow, generous acidity, long ending with crisp citrus and mineral tones. Nice! — 6 months ago

That sucks somewhat. 19 years young. Did it have the stuffing do you think?

@Ron R it was pretty solid early on in life as I recall (pre-delectable) so I think I just kept it too long. The downside of offsite storage.

I hate when I do that, @Norman Gennaro. But we now have a deep enough cellar to just keep it moving 👍🏾
