Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, green peppercorns, and black currents; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, eucalyptus, tar, and graphite with a long finish. This wine is balanced, and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 7 months ago
Classic La Mission nose showing mostly black fruits, with notes of smoke, cedar, licorice, leather, mocha, underbrush & cigar ash. Just entering its prime with many years ahead — 7 months ago
The wine has evolved nicely over the last few years resulting in a beautifully balanced and complex Sonoma Pinot. Rose petals, lavender and eucalyptus notes on the nose. Cranberry and sour cherries dominate the palate. Finishes with a little spice. While it is drinking well now it should continue to evolve over time. — 5 years ago

Opened just prior to dinner. The 2008 Coteau de Vernon pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of peach cup with the pears and cherry too. There’s white flowers, honey, fresh mint and other herbs too. Wow! On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and oily. This bottle came across young. A benchmark Condrieu. Drink now through 2038. — 5 months ago

So underrated and punching way above its weight class. Bit more delicate and pure than your high end Boudreaux. Perfect for seaside dinners. Great vintage too. — 8 months ago
Vibrant color. Wow, it’s like the Little Red Riding-hood porridge of wine. Not too dry, bold, acidic, long, short or tannic. Just right! Absolutely delicious. Would absolutely buy again and one of the best wines I’ve had in a long time. — 8 months ago

Round and lush. — 13 years ago
Appearance: clear clarity, medium intensity, garnet. Nose: clean condition, medium intensity, aroma - cigar, black berry, fruitcake, stewed prune. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium (+) chalky tannin, flavour - dark cherry, chocolate, smoky, long finish. Conclusion, very good and approachable cab-sauv, great value for its price tag ($33), alcohol and flavour greatly integrated. — 13 years ago

Took a couple days for this wine to open up and to really start strutting its stuff. Vibrant, primary, dark cherry fruit tones meet pine forest, spice, and licorice nuances. With the extended aeration, an intriguing mineral note also developed. Svelte (12.8%), yet vivacious and intimating appealing future complexities. Would be fun try again in 8+ years. — 12 years ago
