Perfumed nose of rose petals and fresh cranberries. A bit rounder than most Dolcetto wines with red fruit offset by typical dusty notes. Slightly tannic and herbaceous on the finish (but in a good way). About as good as Dolcetto gets. — 7 months ago

Dark purple color. Nose is not as perfumed as the Cyrus Ryan or Rattlesnake but nicely fragrant with notes of currants and menthol. While 12 years on, it is quite balanced for a Spring Mountain wine. — 9 months ago

Still quite inky with just a little lightening at the edges. Starts a little tart and astringent but then presents cassis, plum, chocolate and black tea. Finish is quite long with a hint of bell pepper and lingering tannins. — 7 months ago
Nicely made Saint-Emilion (75% Merlot/25% Cab Franc). Didn’t expect the wine to show as well as it did and punches well above its weight. Big and bold, this wine has great weight and depth. Finish is long and savory. Wish I had more than 2 bottles remaining. Probably at peak though doesn’t appear in danger of going downhill anytime soon. — 9 months ago
