On the sour side and alcoholic on the nose, but a nice, light, young take on Zinfandel. Underripe raspberries, red cherry, slightly astringent finish. 12.8% abv — 2 years ago
A beautiful red blend of various red grape varieties sourced and allowed in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape by theSouthern Rhone region of France, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The V. 2020 vintage is known for being wonderfully balanced, with a harmonious development of the grapes, and is considered a successful one for the region, producing wines with a good balance of fruit and freshness.
This Mas Grange Blanche, “La Font des Bessounes" is intensely aromatic, with notes of red and blue bramble fruits, black pepper, garrigue, mulling spices, licorice, biscuits, and tobacco.
On the palate id a Medium-to-full-bodied, with fresh acidity, and well-integrated alcohol with a minimum oak influence. Mouthfeel; well-structured, decent complexity, and gratifying potential to age as well. Cheers! — 3 months ago
Great CA Chardonnay. Balanced, not overly oaked, not really buttery. Fresh and delicious lemon, yellow apple, underripe pear. It doesn’t have the electric acidity of the Adank Swiss Chardonnay I just tried, but it’s delicious in its own softer, more subtle way. Speaking of Swiss, I’m using a cup for tonight’s cheese fondue on a snowy night. — 7 months ago
A great start to birthday celebrations kicking off, this was a great reminder of the Chateau Neuf region and what it offers. On the nose a baboom level of red, rip fruit with a hint of pepper. On the palate slightly more subtle flavours with complexity, retaining the fruit but adding a floral notes, then developing later on into a darker, tobacco tone. Texture was smooth with very fine tannins - all in all a pleasure to drink! — 2 years ago
Very pleasant, cherries and mild tannins — 5 months ago
The 2023 is a blend of 40% Barbera, 40% Dolcetto, 14% Montepulciano, 6% Sangiovese. @Delectable Wine not a pure Sangiovese. Still a delicious pizza wine, or in my case, Monday night pasta wine. Cherry, raspberry and herbal tea - just as Broc says on the website ;) Easy to drink and uncomplicated. — 5 months ago
New grape for me, and new Broc for me. Love it! The nose is a bit green and underripe, but the fruit is amazing. Red currant, raspberry, black cherry, some strawberry, but damp and dark, then it turns dry. Great balance of fruitiness and dryness towards the end. Some tannins on the finish and subtly herbal, but not much. Pure dry fruit for quite a while. Comforting winter red. Lovely label. With pizza.
As with other Brocs, this doesn’t hold up so much on the second day. Drink fresh. — 7 months ago
This still has a HUGE nose for a natural Broc, tart cherries explode out of the glass, with notes of pomegranate and fresh cut grass. Hardly any bricking, with sustained color and still a prominent acidity on the nose, with subtle florals and pepper. The palate is smooth, medium bodied, with hints of Burch and prominent ripe red fruits, with a slight raspberry breath on the finish. Kind of short, but still solid for 10 years old. Surprisingly still lithe for a Broc! — 2 years ago

A surprisingly gorgeous evening in DC tonight at a favorite classic bistro. This Giggie has loads of ripe fruit, but is drinking really well already. Very soft, decent acids. Some savory notes. The alcohol (15%) pooks through on the back half of the palate. But it was served a little warmer than I’d like, so that probably amplified it. — 2 days ago
