Very delicious. Very smooth. — 8 years ago
Located in the village of Castiglione Tinella in the heart of the Piedmont Region called the Langhe, four generations the Saracco family has been Moscato d' Asti. Clear, light, almost white, with small bubbles, Frizzante-style. Pronounced nose, floral and ripe white peaches, with notes of honeysuckle. Sweet, the palate follows the nose with the addition of orange citrus flavors with low acidity and nice medium length finish. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago
Tobacco, leather, dark dark cherry, blueberry, wild mushroom on the nose. Medium/strong tannins. Excellent smooth finish. Bright cherry (typical Italian), Coca-Cola, dark chocolate on the palate. Barolo is Barolo. It rarely disappoints and this certainly is a fine example. — 9 years ago

light and elegant, the best barolo i’ve had in recent memory — 8 years ago
Magic. And while slightly over the hill, still outstanding, with lots of aromas to offer. — 8 years ago

Soft and approachable modern Barolo. Deep red cherry and plum with a hint of spice and liquorice. Nicely balanced and easy to drink. Lovely wine but I did prefer the 2011. — 9 years ago

2006 vintage. Good old fashioned Barolo. Light colour and hue. Medicinal notes. Floral and red cherry. Gorgeous crunchy tannins. Long finish. This is a step up from the '89. Plenty of years ahead of this wine. Very good indeed. NB: after 2 hours this wine is singing: roses and tar to the fore, integrated tannins, crisp acidity. Bouquet is out of this world. — 11 years ago

Medium Ruby with complex aromas of floral, dark berry fruits, herbs and oak notes. On the palate raspberry and ripe cherry, savory with oak spice, a fresh earthiness and tightly wrapped spices. Tannins are very firm and needs at least 5 more years to start showing some finesse. Ling finish ending with fruit, herb and earthy mineral. Let this one sit for a while. A little pricy. Great wine. Long finish and a great nose. Classic Barolo. Need to decant at least one hour before drinking to allow this wine to open up. Very nice — 8 years ago
Took an hour or so to open up, but pretty good once it did. Beautifully clear Ruby red color, medium- viscosity. Nose sees oak, ripe cherries, some mustiness and earthiness. Palette sees cherry cough drops, cola, ripe cherries. A short finish was a little disappointing, but as some that isn't a huge Piedmont fan, I enjoyed this. — 9 years ago

A lot of wine in one glass. Full, foot-on-the-gas dark red fruit, but went down easy. A little hairy chested for Sunday night pizza, but fun nonetheless. — 5 years ago
