Casale Marchese

Marchese di Borgosole

Riserva Brindisi Red Blend

Fantastic wine. Very herbaceous forward and then fruit, red cherry. Also hints of vanilla.
For the price this is a very good wine.

Marchesi Antinori

Tenuta Tignanello Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Tenuta Tignanello ‘Marchese Antinori’ Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2017: Medium-body. Great balance. Nice acidity. Beautiful deep ruby red color. Full aromas of cherry, vanilla & spice and palate flavors of red fruits, plum, blackberry, dried herbs, chocolate, vanilla & soft oak. Fine integrated tannins help to produce a long silky finish. For me, this was a gorgeous Chianti Classico wine and definitely one that is ready to drink & enjoy right now. I’d call it a young Tignanello or Tignanello’s little brother. Go give it a try! Marchese di Barolo

Comune di Barolo Nebbiolo 2016

This 2016 Barolo’s nose is cherry, dried cranberry, rose, and leather. One the palate similar flavors as the nose with the addition of a hint of tobacco. Great wine. — 5 months ago

Casale del Giglio

Antium Bellone 2023

Crisp and bright with acidity with notes of pineapple, lemon, and a touch of pear. A brilliant summer taste with enough acid to hold up to rich white sauces. — 5 months ago

Casale del Giglio

Cesanese Lazio Rosso Red Blend 2022

This wine is very dark. It looks that way and it smells that way, too. The nose offers a funky, earthy, dare I say barnyard-y package of aromas. The fruit that is there, the blackberry, currant, and black plum, is muted and dwarfed by the savory smells. Tar, creosote, forest floor, and cigars are the main event. The palate bears much more fruit. Flavors of dark berry, black currant, plum, black cherry, elderberry and black Mission fig all vie for attention. The mouthfeel is fairly elegant, which is surprising after the brute force of the nose. Fine tannins and a gentle acidity will make a nice pairing with meatballs in a Bolognese sauce or sautéed mushrooms. — 5 months ago
