Very delicious Pinot, but was expecting a little more complexity. Wonderful pairing with salmon. — 4 years ago

John Skupny - Lang & Reed Wine Company

Medium lemon yellow , some development . On the nose this is still quite fresh , with some yellow fruits , white peach, white flowers, red apple , creamy lemon curd . On the palate this is quite rounded with touch of smoky lemon curd, lightly buttery and white peach . Balanced acidity , but not the brightest , and ok length , quite rounded but balanced . Good now and over the next few years . Impressive for a basic Bourgogne Blanc , especially from 2011. — 10 months ago
The 2009 Bourgogne Aligoté pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with pungent notes of matchstick and flint with some notes of lemon, apple, herbs and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and saline. Even her Aligote is remarkable and, apparently, age-able. Drink now through 2029. — a year ago

2013. In a great spot. Expressive nose with layers of ripe cherries & plums. The fruit follows a similar path on the palate. At the Bourgogne level, I don’t expect the complex fruit, smoke & hints of fennel to emerge so beautifully. The complex flavors find a wonderful balance with the ethereal palate weight and chalky tannins. This is fresh, but the acidity is behind the flavors and textures right now. — 6 years ago
From Domestique 4/13/19 for tagine, but only opened 2013 in garden on 4/27/19. Chlorine smell for J; lemon, thyme, chives, cloves, vanilla. Mouthfeel and long finish of pine. Pretty rich for Muscsdet. Expected salinity. Malted Easter egg shells. — 7 years ago
Ripe but still fresh and delicious for its level. — 9 years ago
Pale straw yellow. Clear. Smal nice bubbles. Dry, crisp and elegant. Apples, citrus and brioche on the nose. Lemon, grapefruit and toasted bread on the palate. Yeasty and buttery. Long finish. Wonderfully paired with sushi. — 10 years ago
Gorgeous Blanc. Showing some oak. Good intensity and weight. Lovely. — 12 years ago
