Deep ruby, and a nose redolent with aromas of plum, blackberry, black cherry, leather, forest floor and stony minerality. Plush, velvety tannins give the wine great body though it could use a touch more acidity to be outstanding. Really enjoyable and a long finish — a great bargain for this under-appreciated grape. — 5 months ago
Beautiful and even elegant, which is a descriptor that not many Pinot Meunier’s often get. Lovely aromatics, incredible texture, great balance. — a year ago
This is a very elegant style of Brunello. Nose has sultry macerated dark cherry, terra cotta tile earthiness, some gorgeous sweet spice notes. In the mouth it’s soft, medium-full, and has some nice complexity. Notes of earthy gravel and porcini mushroom to go along with the rich fruit. Tannins are soft but still provide a nice tactile reference point. Acids are soft. Lengthy finish. — 6 months ago

Good summer drink with everything. — 4 months ago
Nice - not spectacular. Shy nose of candied cherries and earth. A little tight on opening - fully expressive in about 3 hours. Palate of raspberries, candied cherries, mossy undergrowth and minerals, rounded out by a kick of clove spiciness. Tannins were grippy but not overwhelming. — 2 years ago

Earth, dark cherry, dust, blackberry, red currant, and tar on the nose. Acid and dark red fruit tang up front. Tannins, baking spice, and subtle oak on the mid-palate. Cocoa, Luxardo cherry, tar, dark chocolate, & subtle tobacco and ash on the finish. This is a beautiful wine, on its own or with food. — a month ago
