Medium bodied. Toasty and bruised tropical fruits. Mango caramel. Guava. Meant for food. — 6 months ago
Woof. One smell of the 2020 Levet Côte Rôtie and you know it’s happening! The wine pours a deep ruby with a purple tinge and a near opaque core. Medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. No signs of sediment or gas. The nose: absolutely feral. Holy whole-cluster Batman! All of the rotundone your heart could desire. Funky dark bramble fruit, deli case, black pepper, blueberry crisp, lavender, dried green herbs, inorganic earth, and subtle baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is long with a generous streak of minerals. An awesome Levet that’s already showing off, in its relative youth. Drinking surprisingly well right now and I expect it will continue to do so, well through 2035. — 2 years ago
‘21 enjoyed in late 2025. At our home about a mile from the Mark Ryan Woodinville tasting room. — 2 months ago
In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now! — 9 months ago
Longevity is…A lifestyle. It’s about loving what you live, and living what you love. The heart on our label represents this love of life and family. Our family practices this philosophy everyday in developing our wines. Ultimately it’s about the experience, it’s about living, loving, and sharing that experience with others. — 3 years ago
Nothing short of spectacular. Best picnic wine ever. — 3 months ago
Interesting Prosecco. Good nose but a touch to sweet on the taste. Pleasant for what it is. — a year ago
A bit disjointed. Heaps of oak then a bunch of acid on the finish. Missing the heart and soul of the wine. Had the ‘13 criot barard montrachet and I would rate that in the top 5 wines of my life. Maybe it needs more time? Madi LOVED it for the record. With schnitzel and gravy. — 3 years ago
Fall is here and it’s the season I love to drink port. Dow, producing Ports for over 2 centuries. One of the first to establish its own vineyards, acquiring Senhora da Ribeira, in the remote Upper Douro, in 1890 & Bomfim, in the heart of Alto Douro, in 1896. Aromas of ripe fruits, fragrant spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of candied apple and jammy blackberries with cacao and honey. Firm dusty tannins, good balance, long finish. Perfect now.
