Sipping Fine Wine

In 1877, Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino laid the foundations of their dream to make Italian wines from the heart of Tuscany. Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice. On the palate black cherry, blackberry and plum flavors with tobacco, pepper and earthy cedar notes. Full-bodied, well balanced soft tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab pizza or pasta and enjoy the great value wine.

Light ruby in color with some brown notes.

Red fruits like cherries and cranberries on the nose but very Light.

Features Light to medium polished body.

Spicy on the palate with cherries, cranberries, black pepper and spices.

Long finish with round tannins and lime.

It is probably too young, I am imagining it better in 3 to 5 years.

14.5% alcohol by volume .

Recommendation from one of my customers. A little drier than I typically like, but it really drew me in. I would definitely buy this again.

Carried the perfect amount of oak taste. Great flavor that will leave you wanting more from such a low priced wine.

This aromatic and robust classic is made by a venerable Tuscan estate with a history that dates back to 1877. First produced in 1927, it pays homage to the Duke of Aosta, who crossed the Alps to taste the wine whose reputation was already well established in the 19th century.

2015. Always-solid sub-$20 Chianti Classico. Enough tart red fruit and acid to go well with food. Mixes well to enliven sleepier/older wines too. Honest Sangiovese baby. $19 all over.
