Crisp and bright with acidity with notes of pineapple, lemon, and a touch of pear. A brilliant summer taste with enough acid to hold up to rich white sauces. — 2 months ago
So tasty!!!! Boldly aromatic with lots of fruit like cherry, plum, loads or chocolate and tobacco. Full bodied with strong tannins balanced by a cleansing fruity acidity. Love this wine but getting to taste an older vintage is special. — 7 months ago
Smooth with a nice Italian dinner — a month ago
Lovely 2013 - beautifully integrated tannins with plenty of fruit still standing. Another all around winner. From Sergio and his family. — 7 months ago

This wine is very dark. It looks that way and it smells that way, too. The nose offers a funky, earthy, dare I say barnyard-y package of aromas. The fruit that is there, the blackberry, currant, and black plum, is muted and dwarfed by the savory smells. Tar, creosote, forest floor, and cigars are the main event. The palate bears much more fruit. Flavors of dark berry, black currant, plum, black cherry, elderberry and black Mission fig all vie for attention. The mouthfeel is fairly elegant, which is surprising after the brute force of the nose. Fine tannins and a gentle acidity will make a nice pairing with meatballs in a Bolognese sauce or sautéed mushrooms. — 2 months ago
Very well balanced. A little fruity upfront dry on the back. Well structured wine, which will get only better with age. 2020 vintage — 3 months ago
Damn. Still one of my favorite roses. Made by the old man.
Nose: fascinating. Red roses. Mineral. Toast. Lemon flower.
Palate: mineral cherries. So bright. Linear. Perfect. So clean. Flawless. Like. A diamond. Complex. Fruit. Acidity. Grippy yet weightless.
Long.
Champagne lovers should buy this by the case.
