Corte alla Flora

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2015

Beautiful wine! Ruby with a slight brown tinge. Red cherry, blueberry, and plum. Super smooth with a nice long finish. Great with our mushroom ravioli! — 14 days ago

Viña Cobos

Cocodrilo Corte Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2021

A Paul Hobbs Argentinian Bordeaux style red. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Cabernet Franc (24%) and Malbec (15%). Blend of different vineyards. Deep ruby/purple color. Dark fruit (plums and blackberry) on the nose with plenty of purple flower and “green” aromas. The palate also features dark fruit (along with blueberry flavors) with a distinct note of pyrazine and more subtle hints of dark chocolate, sweet baking spices and a bit of graphite. Full bodied and quite a long finish. Silky tannins. Part of the North Shore House Wine Pairing Dinner on March 9, 2024. — a month ago

Antica Terra

Botanica Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

One of two bottles opened in honor of International Women’s Day a few nights back. This was terrific, although perhaps a touch Shedonistic for an Oregon Pinot. — a month ago

Scarpa (Antica Casa Vinicola Scarpa)

Tettimorra Barolo Nebbiolo 2010

Absolutely a knockout. Last had almost 2 years ago and the time has been good. Decanted 1.5 hours, still fairly primary - would be a delicious one to age more, but so it goes. Aromatically incredible. So deep on the palate with that perfect refreshing note on the finish. Excellent pairing with fennel rubbed roast chicken, mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat, and oven fries with a tarragon aioli. — 4 months ago
