Ripe pineapple, golden straw color, has some middle weight tannins but light on the finish. Green apple, pomelo pith, flint, mineral, tropical fruit. Great wine for a meal at the Arden Waikiki. — 7 months ago
Was going to get the 2016 given I generally love that vintage across much of Europe but the somm talked me into the 2015 saying it was more open. He was right - this was delicious, and still traditional and “old school” with a restrained 13.5%. Tons of pepper and dark dark fruit with some olive. Very delicious with nice medium acid and a long finish. — 4 years ago

Back at Le Cap where we discovered our wine of the year 2024 (Biondi Santi). This year going with a sommelier recommended Vosne Romanee (our go to red burgundy). Initial impression was “wow it’s another wine of the year contender” with notes of white truffle, strawberry ice cream and strawberry jam. Softer and more delicate than other Vosne’s we’ve tasted but after 3 hours of being open the taste dropped off at the end, so only a 9.7. — 10 months ago

In a great place now. Dark fruit, plum, spices. You could taste crisped bacon saltiness. — 3 months ago
