Blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 4% Tinta Barroca & 1% Alicante Bouschet, aged in used French oak for 14 months, aromas of fresh dark berry flavors with herb, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum with licorice, cedar, espresso and spicy herbs. Fine ripe tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar, spice and herb character. Nice value! — a month ago
It's time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.
Nice nose with red fruits, light oak, spices, chocolates, licorice and peppercorn.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red currants, cherries, raspberries, earth, black coffee, bitter vegetables, light oak, spices, dark chocolates and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.
This Australian Merlot is drinking nicely now. Earthier than I expected it to be. Feels like a blend of new and old world.
Showing a soft and plush mouthfeel, and a bit bitter once it opens up.
Easy drinking and better after a couple of hours of airtime. Changes every 30 minutes in the decanter. Interesting.
I had a few different vintages years ago, and it is a completely different wine today.
Aged in American oak barrels. Vegan.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Crisp minerality and apricot with a touch of lime and wet stone. — 14 days ago
This was a lucky acquisition in 2008. Two states, five cities and seven homes later, survived. I'm so happy and relieved that it kept as well as it did! A truly amazing wine that lives up to its reputation! Sublime Velvet. — a month ago

Nice wine for its age, subtle with a light nose — 2 months ago
Very pale ruby , watery rim . Quite light floral , sour cherry and sea breeze notes , wet stones . On the palate quite lean and high acid with a saline kick on the finish . Light red cherry notes , red currant , raspberry also. Very light tannins , behaves more like a rosé or white than a red really . Ok length with a stony edge . I presume this is best drunk now whilst the fruit is fresh, unsure how this would age . Now and over the next 2-3 years ? Certainly thought provoking .. — a month ago

Really tasty wine, had with Spanish tapas. Smell is cherry and a weird bread/biscuit note that smells like a bakery. Full bodied, very fruity. Went well with all the assorted foods. Would love to have again. — 20 days ago
