Just silly delicious #alsace #pinotnoir . Credit goes to one of my online wine community buddies to describe this lush lingonberry aroma up front that carries right through to the palate plus a background of tart cherry juice, sous bois base notes and some long pepper sweet spice on the finish. Food pairings I can vouch for: Beyond Burger with sautéed 🍄🟫 - ✅, Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake veggie pizza - ✅ . #lastbottle — a year ago
Too ripe, already oxidized and just not for me. 2017 and already one foot in the grave. Also too expensive. Just because it’s #Grandcru #alsace doesn’t make it taste #premium I actually am sort of steering clear of Grand Cru Alsace and Grand Cru Chablis which, due to climate change or due to winemakers searching for ”more expression” are overripe and have lost their Mojo in my opinion. — 5 years ago
Delicious #alsace #pinotgris - do yourself a favor and let this warm up a bit in the glass. Nose has lemon oil, marzipan, lanolin - bright acidity on the palate, white pepper at the very end. — a year ago
Chalky lemon and lime mineral nose, candied grapefruit rind, crystalline green apple, Bosc pear. Perfect balance in an adroit turn from tart citrus to tangy apple. Every facet shining. Lemon persists with a salinity that keeps giving. Sublime.

2006. Rich, filtered apple gold. Nose of Bosc pear, baked lemon, warm yellow apple, lemon tart, coconut husk, dry sage, roasted almond, and honey crystal. Palate shows honey flash before flood of lemon juices, lime juice and pith, sweet grapefruit and lemongrass. Sweet at 16, balanced and finishing dry and refreshing!

Gratifying #alsace #gewurztraminer. Off-dry style, great choice for a highly acclaimed fine dining Indian restaurant. Honeysuckle, jasmine, lemon gummy nose, glossy honeyed texture and taste on palate, touch of bitter citrus on the finish and a hint of spice. The generous RS only left me wishing I had ordered my Amritsari cod with a considerably spicier masala than default, as this wine could easily stand up to the heat. — 12 days ago
