The future of sparkling wine is here. Chardonnay on limestone but in Saulheim. Unreal nose. Wow. Deep notes of green apple, butter, earth and minerals. So ebullient and expressive. This totally smells German but still has a foot in Champagne. Some notes of lime blossom emerge as well with air. This is like a $60 Champagne nose. Palate is awesome. Full of sweet lime fruit and very lemony and super crisp. Such cut and precision. Awesome chewiness and density while remaining light on its feet. It’s a very mineral wine. It almost seems Brut Nature but it’s classified as Brut. — 2 years ago
I really enjoyed this one. Acidic but nice — 4 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Fresh mowed grass. Peach, apricot, minerals and some vulcanized rubber. Very petty. Amazing how sugar changes the whole equation. Nose gains depth and breadth as it airs out. Palate is lights out with unreal fresh layers of fruit, peach, apricot and white peach. Nose gets more evocative and blends limestone and vineyard peach. Such a summer wine. And likely great with food. Dense, light, nimble and just the right amount of barely there sweetness. Outstanding. — 5 years ago

Dedalus wine club, January 2020. Mineral, bright, acidic, slightly effervescent. Incredible. — 6 years ago
Stone...wet concrete nose, with a pineapple topic fruitness and a lemon/lime ...key lime pie tartness. — 8 years ago
Love it - unfolds in the mouth. Sweet and dry at the same time. Magic? — 9 years ago
Lovely and dry! Would buy a case! Not overly sweet — 9 years ago
Lovely apple-honey on the nose. Beautiful golden color. Low alcohol and medium body. Sweet on the front with a nice grapefruit and lemon peel finish. Recommended! — 12 years ago
Nose is all mid season red cherries, cherry flower and so so pure. Mulberry, cranberry bog and so much more. Lipstick like intensity and just so focused and clear. Insane nose. Unreal limestone and depth but also it’s like it’s vibrating on its own plain. Wow what a palate. Juicy and structured with just silly good cherry fruit of the early to mid season style and unreal clarity, focus and linearity. Unreal concentration and depth. So stunning and like a squeegee on the palate. Now some violets on the nose and unreal concentration and sorry but light and ethereal. Stunning beyond belief. After air it gets more supple and textured. All red fruit on the palate. — 2 years ago
At a beautiful spot. Nice golden color, fragrant minerals laced nose and tingling texture into long finish. Went nicely with variety of Indian dishes from Rasa for Leila’s one day early dinner with Cindy David. — 4 years ago

In the Nose black berries, some smoke and Speck, vanille chocolate and a light fruity sweetness. On the Palate, balanced acid, ripe and present Tannine, Cherry Jam, a little alcoholic and some chestnut — 11 years ago
Quite light straw colour . Green apple , lemon rind , white flowers and wet stones . On the palate high acidity balanced with hint of sweetness . Green apple , lime freshness , cool stony notes , good length and balanced alcohol . Simple but effective . Drink now but no rush over the next decade I should imagine . — 2 years ago
No formal notes. See @Lyle Fass review. Stop overpaying for burgundy, buy this instead… — 4 years ago
At a terrific spot, just gorgeous mature Riesling all around with a particularly lively and vibrant texture. Amazing how these Kabs hold up so well. Perfect with hot pot dinner for MM and Ben visit. — 5 years ago
Confectionary nose that is teeming with energy. Awesome minerals, sugar snap peas and airiness. So clean and intense. Awesome. Has that 19 lift. Rich, yet also so energetic and crisp. Has terrific fruit intensity like apricot and kumquat but finished mineral and shows its limestone footprint. So good. Lovely tension between elegant richness and intense minerality and crunch. — 5 years ago
Delicious and inexpensive blaufränkisch!! — 7 years ago
Quite rich & powerful with ripe pomelo and green grapefruit, lemon tart and some matchstick reduction. Fullbodied with the wood nicely integrated, good lemony acidity and nice length with a flinty finish. Needs some time to aerate so large burgundy glasses are a must. — 8 years ago
Vinho seco com Acidez alta, bastante fruta branca na boca e um pouco de agulha. — 9 years ago
Clear, pale and lemon in colour. Medium (+) intensity of delicious aromas that are unwilling to remain complacent as the wine sits in the glass. First opened up to fresh and brandied apricot being the sweeter note amongst some ripe citrus and green apple. Its developed into a nose of tangy lemon starburst, honeysuckle, orange blossom, some exotic tropical fruits and some feint slate-like character. Plenty of zippy, spritzy acid adding a little bit to a medium body. The palate is dry despite being lead down a potential off-dry path expressing its citrus qualities. Longer than medium finish, probably drank a little young. 3-5 more years and she'll be a peach 👌 — 11 years ago
