Travel-fatigued, I looked after glass two and discovered it was not Fritz Haag! — 10 months ago
Ok, this is so so serious and so so stunning! Insane nose that brings to mind top Willi Schaefer. Stunningly deep and intense aroma. Haunting, floral, savory, so deep. Penetrating. Lime. Slate. A sense of creaminess as well. So so good. Just a wow nose. 9.6 at least. What a palate. This is perfectly executed Feinherb. So nimble, yet tense and taut. Beautiful purity and a delicate elegant structure but impossible to put down now. Wow, the complexity and finesse. Such amazingness. So filigreed. So long. Perfectly dissipating finish. I know this will be that much better in 5 years. This is a genius wine.
As this airs the nose just gets so stankey and dankey. Just so slatey and mineral. Insane. Best lime ever. The Mosel is so good. — 5 years ago
I think this is my first time trying a wine from the Juffer vineyard in Brauneberg, in the Mosel valley. This wine is shockingly enjoyable, a great tonic to a stressful week, with an overriding impression of salinity both on the nose and palate, as well as effusive aromas of lime and nectarines. The palate is, again, salty, with joyful harmony between fruit and acid - this leans toward the drier end of the Prädikat and, in an acidic vintage such as 2021, it provides a superbly tense, exciting riesling that’ll go well with Indian food tonight. This is up there with the finest young Kabinetts that I’ve tried.

Only regret was not holding onto this jewel longer. — 8 months ago

This is a novel wine. It’s Red Muscat that is served chilled like a white wine. It is easily one of Italy’s most unique and greatest wines. It has the character of wines in other styles that cost thousands of dollars but because it’s such a freaky grape and made in a freaky style, (11.5% almost like a Kabinett Red Wine) it’s not that expensive. Still it’s great. Truly epic. Like a dessert at a 3 star Michelin that centers around some insane sauce. This is the vinous equivalent of that sauce. The nose is floral to a degree that using floral to describe any other wine is an insult to this wine. It’s minty and smells almost like an apothecary in God’s waiting room. It’s got roses. I mean in your face yet subtle and beautiful roses. There’s also fresh green shrubbery. Like walking into a freshly manicured British aristocrat’s family garden. There’s deep black cherry skins. It’s pungent and potent but also haunting and beautiful. The palate tho! They combo of fresh/sweet/ electric sweetness and a guided decadence. Perfect balance. Insanely pure. Willi Schaefer vibes here. Gorgeous sweet tannins and a deliciousness that is rare in this world. After air the nose has green and oolong tea aromas. Just a mesmerizing nose. Palate and nose are 50/50. This is not a perfect wine but it’s perfect for me. 9.7. — 5 years ago

Best bottle yet. Absolutely stunning. Nose starting to develop. Hint of petrol. Apple pie. Phyllo. Ethereal haunting mineral vapor aromas. Palate is outrageous. Dense, dry extract up the wazoo, rich, packed to the gills with apple, peach fruit and just ripping acidity and freshness. Finish is like clean Icelandic water with Mosel vibes and perfect sweetness. Just amazing. — 2 months ago
