Always great. My favorite Spanish wine, and I’ve reviewed it quite a few times. Great acidity, elegance, and oak integration with savory character and subtle fruit, wild berries, tomato, tobacco, herbal and floral. — a month ago
A blend of 80% Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha, rest Graciano and Mazuelo, aged 5 years in American oak, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe jammy fruits, spice and tobacco notes, resulting from a warm dry growing season. On the palate flavors of ripe plum, blueberry and ripe cherry with spice, tobacco and cedar notes. Fine big rustic tannins, long finish, savory ending with tobacco and leather notes. Nice! — 3 months ago
A wine of astounding complexity, a shape-shifter. Immediately in the glass, nutty roasted almond, funk (a little reductive), musty books and turpentine. Iron/sanguinous aftertaste. Little acidity up front, a bit flat in texture. Peach pit, yellow peach, honeycomb. — a month ago
2011. This is the Gran Reserva. Delectable locked up last night trying to enter that… our wine of the night. My daughter said that on each bite from multiple dishes, either the wine made the food better, or the food made the wine better. So glad I finally was able to drink a bottle! Funky but not unpleasantly so. — 16 days ago

2023/12. Tangy, red cherry and a little raspberry, vanilla cheese cream…a hint of volatility but it mostly blows off. A very nice, more casual wine in the Heredia style — 4 months ago

En Magnum. A rare treat. Ethereal body and elevated mid-palate. Feminine, if that’s possible. Wow. — a day ago
