Bold berries up front. Dry middle. No lingering aftertaste. Great cab. — 3 years ago
25 year anniversary of this wine. I have been a Peter Franus fan for a long time. This zin is medium ruby, black and white pepper, clove, cedar, red cherry, vanilla on the nose--the wood is definitely pushing through, but not overpowering. On the palate, more blue/black fruit emerges, blackberry mainly. Tannins still pretty dry, alcohol high. I think this can rest even longer but it's great now too. Awesome!!!

A beautiful dry rose with great depth of flavor, texture and an incredible finish. I need to get more of this! — 7 years ago
Absolutely amazing! Drinking form a magnum. Decanted 1.50 hours. Still strong and focused. The mint is starting to hit. Sleek. This wine is on rails and rolls like a train. No need to wait any longer. — 9 years ago
Smells like winter ❄️ menthol, apple, toasty, creamy, touch of honey on the nose. The taste lemongrass, rose petal... Gives you a silky tongue 🌹😛 — 10 years ago

Heavy Chardonnay. Very buttery. From Bin 608 in Baltimore — 12 years ago
Purchased from Marion Hotel and Cellars near Adelaide, we enjoyed this in American River on Kangaroo Island. This full-bodied Shiraz evolved beautifully over the evening, revealing layers of dark berries, pepper, tobacco, Australian bark and earth, and a hint of anise, with a spicy finish. Balanced and complex, it earned full bonus points for how much we enjoyed it. A great wine, albeit with a screw cap. — 6 months ago

1hr+ decant and could have used more. Dark red color. Interesting nose with metallic, medicinal tones that tingled my nose. Wine has massive strawberry and cassis; and is sweeter than I was expecting. Very concentrated. The tannins reduce with ample air and the spicy aspects dissipate with time as well making it more approachable. Medium finish. — 4 years ago
Medium bodied with zesty citrus and underripe stone fruit. Crisp, clean, and petrol-y. — 6 years ago
Love this wine! Spicy, raspberry, Bing cherry, dark plum and hints of vanilla oak. Lush, long, delicious finish. Drink now - 2020. — 8 years ago
60% Cab Franc, 25% Cab Sauv, 15% Merlot. Rich blackberry and blueberry, minerality, pronounced fruit with nice acid balance. Tannins integrated though reemerging after 2 hours before settling back. A delight. — 11 years ago
Mount V just makes lovely Cab Savs! Still had tannin structure for 3-5 additional years of cellaring. — 6 months ago
The 2023 Henschke Julius Eden Valley Riesling offers a crisp profile with pronounced apple and pear notes, showcasing refreshing acidity and pretty good balance. One year on the rack added some nice depth. — 6 months ago
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 1 year in new French and American oak barrels, while I get the Barossa fruit feel, this also reminds, at this age, of 1980s Napa/Sonoma Cabs, close to mature, very well-balanced, complex, long, lingering finish, terrific Barossa Cabernet!! Purchased at Henschke in 1989 (my first and only visit) and shipped home via a now-defunct import/shipping company in Alameda, California (I also bought some 1986 Mt. Edelstone Shiraz and 1985 Hill of Grace Shiraz on that same trip!!) — 10 months ago
So yummy. I acquired at my most recent Napa visit. Medium bodied fruity cab. — 10 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with rich aromas of dark ripe fruit and herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum with tobacco, cacao and cedar. Fine firm tannins, long finish ending with balanced mineral wrapped in cacao, tobacco and oak. A solid Merlot. — 6 months ago
