T'n'S Blocks Hudson Vineyard South Syrah

At 10-years, a beautiful experience…deep, dark pour with no signs of bricking…dark fruit (more purple and black) aromatics that just keep on developing…palate mirrors aromatics with strong fruit profile…pleasing texture/mouth feel…medium finish…hard to say how much longer one should hold…tonight, it was in the right place for our dinner — 4 months ago

Monte Rosso Sonoma Valley Zinfandel 2012

Decanted for 2 hours. Still big, no signs of fading. Did not drink enough before it was consumed to review properly, but seemed a touch sweet. — 2 years ago

Dolinsek Ranch Heritage Red Blend 2015

Another rollercoaster experience with Bedrock but happily this was on the up side; maybe 10 years is the key. Opened, tasted put in an aerator and went to dinner. The wine was excellent start to finish and did not seem to change much. A lot of dark fruits all around, smooth finish and just drinking great. Too busy at dinner with friends to have detailed notes. — 5 months ago

La Jota Vineyard Co.

Howell Mountain Merlot 2019

Deep Ruby, pronounced aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, cassis, black cherry, cedar, vanilla, tobacco leaf and forest floor. Already showing some tertiary notes. Lovely balance of fruit and savory elements, ripe fine-grained tannin and a very long finish. Wonderful wine, easy to appreciate now but with 5 or 10 more years ahead. — 7 months ago

Citrine California Chardonnay 2022

My go to inexpensive yet great Chard. 13.2% 900 cases produced. Less overt Citrus driven than in the past. 🍋 mostly. Grassy. Perhaps less convincing than previous vintages. Would love to see a little more complexity - but still good for the $. — 6 months ago

The Arsonist California Petit Verdot Blend 2020

Deep purple in color; cassis, black plums, and graphite on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like black cherries, dried herbs, and wet slate with a long finish. Nellie says it's ok. I like it. — 7 months ago
