The Rare Wine Co. Historic Series Boston Madeira Special Reserve Bual

Been opened 2 years. Still fresh acid and strong fruit coffee, roasted walnuts. Damn.

Nice balance of sweetness & acidity, beautifully oxydized.

Figs and alcohol - intense

Resembles dark rum in the glass. Chocolate / cocoa flavors abound. Creamy.

Paired with Salted Caramel Dessert

Brown toffee color, gold edges with chocolate, caramel, orange fruit, and brown bitters.

Raiseny sweet, warm finish. Robust and delicious!

Parents don't mind the bual. #winning

Mixed nuts: hazelnut, pecan, walnut, with Vanilla, herbal notes, whip cream, fig newton, prune and raisin on the nose.
Huge pecans on the palate with candied orange peel and just overdone caramel sauce. Awesome end to dinner.

Not sure how I missed Madeira my entire life but love this type of #wine - bonus: it's fortified so it can be open for a while
