If you're not familiar with Adams Bench, you should be.
This bottle specifically needed a lot of air time. Decanted briefly before pouring, I left it in the glass and swirled often for about 10 minutes before the wine opened up. Unfiltered, there was quite a bit of sediment in the bottle, decanter, and the glass. Paired very well with the short ribs and braised pork on the table. — 9 years ago

This ‘22 Mataro is full of spicy black pepper and full, ripe fruit on the palate. I am surprised it is so forward!

Smooth, good fruit flavours and not too hot. — 5 years ago
Nice, smooth Cab. A little pricey in my opinion but still nice. The owner is the nicest guy and he does make some pretty decent juice. — 7 years ago
Silky...lots of red fruits...slight salty finish — 9 years ago
Pale to mid crimson. Palate showing sweet cherry and plum fruit with spicy oak. Delicious now with short term cellaring potential. Proving once again how suitable Adelaide Hills is for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. (Also does great cool climate Syrah. ) — 9 years ago

No note on Delectable since May 2017 - 473 weeks ago. Smoked meat, Asian spices - an intoxicating nose. On the medium bodied palate - sweet red fruits with spices. Tim Kirk, the owner and winemaker said at the time it was the best Shiraz Viognier he had ever made for what is considered the benchmark for this blend in Australia. 98 points from HH and 18.5 points+ from Jancis. Very detailed as you would expect from Tim Kirk. — 7 days ago
