Made from 50 to 100 year old vines and matured for 18 months in small and large oak vessels, of which 20% are new. Medium-ruby, the 2020 Terre Nerre Calderara Sottana is introduced by a hauntingly fragrant scent of red and black cherries, wild blackberries, Mediterranean herbs and crushed granite rock. The medium to full-bodied palate is marked by a firm tannic structure, nervy tension and wonderful fruit complexity, closing with an elegant, persistent finish. Drink now until 2040. — 3 years ago

My Loup anniversary dinner. Much better than the Grenache ;) — 4 months ago
Funky, spicy, but with plenty of bright cherry to balance. Loud and proud, not particularly balanced but it’s working for this wine. Great with pizza. — 8 months ago
Oak, Woodsy, Dark Berries, Tawny color, very smooth and dry at the same time pairs well with lamb and dark chocolate caramels — 9 months ago
Nice soft mousse body, yellow peach, tropical melons, pineapple, some lemon meringue, lime zest, slightly bitter apple cider, whipped cream, hard chalkiness, alluvial limestone, saline, sea fossils, bread crust, yeastiness, yellow florals, racey acidity, nicely balanced & structured with a finish that lasts 90 seconds.
