Quite nice Etna Rosso with Pat’s spaghetti ($27). Fruity with a nice finish. — a month ago
Incredible Nerello Mascalese wine from the slopes of Mt Etna. Made with Burgundian precision by Terre Nere. Bursting with vibrant minerality and fresh dark red fruit supported by soft, small grain tannins guiding it to a smooth, lingering finish. Rivaling a Grand Cru from Burgundy. If you haven’t tried a wine from Mt Etna yet, this is the year!!! — 2 months ago

2022 Etna Rosso santo spirito: light dark soil, very loose and sandy. lighter cherry and fruitier nose, on the palate, cherry, heavy minerals. Strong tannins. Very popular wine. Very deep vines. — 5 months ago
Medium ruby color with a slight orange rim. Aromas of sour red fruits, coffee beans and a hint of orange zest. Flavors of red cherries, wild strawberries, roasted vegetables, dark chocolate and black licorice. Touch of salinity on the long and earthy finish. Bristling acidity and firm but nicely polished tannins. Medium-plus body, well balanced and a slight bit of tension. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days where it displayed a slow, steady evolution throughout. The 2018 pours a pretty, deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe Morello cherry, carnations, bergamot, sandalwood, dried green herbs and dry earth. Bruised strawberry and old library notes showing on Day 2. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Ive been cautiously optimistic with the 2018 vintage but I thought this showed really well. Drink now through 2033. — 2 days ago
