I was expecting an over-oaked style at 13.5 abv. Pleasantly surprised. As this was not the case. A nice balance of ripe orchard fruits and hint of spice, finish with slight bitter almond. Lacks density on the mid palate. Apparently this is a WS top 100 wine? No way. — 3 months ago

Apple and citrus, with honey, vanilla and a chalky note. Wine is past its prime, but enjoyable. — 5 months ago

Opened this a few years too early. Dark and brooding. Olives, violet, blackberry. Wild and savory. Would love to try this again in a few years! — 2 months ago

Every time this wine slaps. This time with more age underneath. A little more bruised, equally awesome.
Golden copper. Perfumed and waxy. Browning apple and apricot and smoky sandalwood incense in a sour saline solution. — 3 months ago
Gift from wife’s French client. The cork was saturated and crumbled, didn’t have much hope, but the nose revealed bright red fruit, some potpourri, alongside the tertiary mushroom and dried leaves you’d assume. The palate reflected this with sour cherry, strawberry, orange peel, and a hint of mushroomy cola. Lots of fine sediment. Very enjoyable. — 4 months ago

Pure and dense. Lean and focused. Black pepper, garrigue, gnarly fruit. Hints of iodine and tang. Still young — 2 months ago
