Napa Valley Syrah

Nice, true to grape and place, was really expecting a total powerhouse but surprised by its moderate frame and firm tannin. Dark, roasty and savory nose, oak accompanies it well, really performed better with braised beef by its side. 1L

Haven’t had a Phelps Syrah. Bid fan of their Syrah efforts going back to the 70’s. Enjoyed this tonight.

I don’t think any more bottle age will help this wine.

Peppery spice, tart cherry. I didn’t find this as fruity as some other reviewers. Full body.

Tart, acidic, tannic, herbaceous

A little disappointed in this bottle. Had it at Bruno's Italian Kitchen with Pappardelle Bruno.

Much less fruit or richness than I was expecting.

Amazing Syrah

With a little time this will be outstanding. Fruit balance and so much more🍷

Drank young. Tannic. Could rest a few years. Good fruit.
