Strawberry nose. Cooked strawberry in the glass. Low alcohol and classic California fruit. Fruit forward but well balanced with good acidity. A good one for a great price if you like this style. — 8 years ago
Decent not great.

Has a fragrance of dark cherry, spices vanilla and chocolate.
Drinks really well with nice flavors of dark cherry, spice and pepper...and is velvety on the palate. Also has a jammy and slight peppery finish. — 4 years ago

Every time I drink a Two Shepherds wine I wish I had more in my cellar. A true “Rhône ranger” producing some of the best rhône-style wines in California. We all need to drink more Two Shepherds and support innovative winemakers who think about product quality before profit and ratings. Thanks to my dear friend Bruce for introducing me to Two Shepherds and supplying me! — 4 years ago
Lemon custard and apple and minerality — 5 years ago
Lively citrus and peach aromas and flavors, very refreshing. — 7 years ago
Way extracted dryed fruit wine with in your face tannins. Good but more so as an experience. Mostly intregated after 14 years but not sure it will get any better. — 7 years ago
Still could use a little time. Much better on the second day. Lots of Pinot for the money! — 8 years ago

This wine has a rich, golden color. The nose offers a bounty of nice things. Lemons, apricots, almonds and vanilla, all wrapped up in buttery goodness. The palate is earthy, nutty and fruity all at once. The acidity is fresh and the finish long, with a good streak of salinity staying after the sip. — 6 months ago
