Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2011

This was our 3L for the Christmas party - excellent Syrah, incredibly long tail to it, a little sparkly up front. Was a hit with the guests but I thought fell just short of the Adelaida last year — 5 months ago

Kick-On Ranch Riesling 2017

Rich, honeyed, and intoxicating nose. Mott’s apple juice color. Broad on the palate with persimmon and canned peaches. Botrytis.
Air was kind. Have a few more ‘17, so will see how it develops.

Casual Encounters Syrah Blend 2017

Full bodied, flamboyant and very enjoyable. There’s a perfumed nose and a richness of flavours and an impressive silkiness and weight. Black cherry, marzipan, wet rock, sweet liquorice, potpourri, nutmeg. — 10 months ago

Simple Pinot! Not kick you in the teeth but not too fruity either! — 4 months ago

Jaffurs Wine Cellars

Santa Barbara County Syrah

Found this in New Mexico. If there is a central coast wine that represents the region this would be it. Of course this does not disqualify all the great Pinot produced in Santa Barbara. Truly a treat. — 5 months ago

Santa Barbara Highlands Grenache 2020

375. Feminine. Nice length. Good purity. Has a candied/confectionary note that’s surprisingly pleasant. Fruit forward and pretty. Best at cellar temp. // Edit: paired this with roasted beets and fancy balsamic and GOTTDAMN — 6 months ago
