Pretty intense pink color. Takes a little time for the nose to hit its stride, but then is redolent of cherry Pinot fruit (in a brighter iteration than for a red). Vigorous in the mouth. Lot of bright fruit, with strawberry and cherry, and some nice stony minerality underneath. This could age a few years and improve, actually, but really nice now. — 4 months ago
The 2021 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru retains its serious and backward nose, very saline and still with that faint tang of kelp/Japanese nori. The palate is beautifully balanced with a keen thread of acidity, notes of orange rind and a more malic finish than I recall, yet with the same wondrous elegance and poise. This will age wonderfully in bottle and require time for the aromatics to awaken. (Neal Martin, Vinous, September 2023)

Intense but way softer and fruitier than expected, likely due to vintage conditions. Intensely mineral on the nose but vying for primacy with copious amount of deep orchard fruit (greengage?). Rich and intense in the mouth. Lowish acids. Very very good but seemingly atypical (or maybe this is global warming typical). — 5 months ago
