This really leans into the darker aspect of Cab. Dark cassis, loads of dark crushed stone, baker’s chocolate, dark iodiney savory notes. Intense in the mouth, but with surprisingly nice acids for its 14.9 frame. Rich, but bone dry. Still tannic, but it’s soft. — a year ago

Let this wine breathe! It is exquisite even before you let it breathe, but letting it breathe makes it 10x times better. The smell is enough to feel as though you already took a sip. Once it has breathed and you take the first sip, It immediately hits the tongue strongly, as it does back of the tongue. Extremely smooth going down. Leaves you with a bold taste on the middle and back of your tongue afterwards, but not strong enough going down to make it distasteful in the end. — 8 years ago
Juicy rich and robust red blend with dominant plump ripe blackberry and plum. juicy fruit, mouthwatering, full bodied, balanced medium tannins, medium acidity and slightly oaked richness. 1992. Would have been better 5 yrs ago but still very nice with dried more than fresh fruit (prune/raisin more than plum/ grape) but still a touch of tannin on first opening. Definite cedary Napa dust gives a bit of structure. — 11 years ago

We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 5 years ago
