Red fruit, cream and raspberry. Very smooth and balanced. Paired with chartreuse. — 7 months ago
Ready to drink; halfway between oaky and steel; no butter. Damn near perfect with both salmon and lamb. — 2 months ago
These are recalled impressions, not contemporaneous notes, from two nights ago, when the family council of elders met for a steak/wine pairing event at my brother Angelo’s house.
Everyone loved this one. Deep and complex. Like a great Pessac with its notes of deep gravel and cigar box. — 3 months ago
Drank for my 75th BD. QUITE DECENT for 19 yrs. — 8 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits and blossom and spice, fruit from the Martinelli Charles Ranch, two miles in from the Pacific, aged for 12 months in 25% new oak. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with a touch of zesty lemon, crisp, with nitty vanilla notes. Nice mouthfeel, vivid acidity, medium+ finish ending with fruit, vanilla and citrus mineral character. Nice! — 3 months ago

I’ve been tasting bottles of the 2013 since 2016 and they have consistently improved over those 10 years from ‘tight and flat’ to ‘layered, super smooth, loaded with dark fruits, graphite and a little pepper’ for the most recent bottle (3/26). This has emerged as one of the best Rodgers Creek’s I have in a collection spanning 13 vintages from 2006 on. — 7 days ago
