I found this to be a solid Chianti… a classic Classico.
Tart or maybe sour apple / cherry. Firm tannins. A touch of salt.
At worst, a touch unremarkable. But overall, enjoyable. Interesting lower scores from the gallery.
Makes me question myself…. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ — 8 months ago
Enjoyed this lovely bottle while in Montepulciano, Italy. Purchased from an amazing wine shop in Venice. — 10 months ago
So balanced, so complex, fruit, leather, spice. Everything you want in Chianti. The rating on delectable is shocking for price. — 2 days ago
Easily drinkable. A little fruity. Nice with an Italian meal. — 9 months ago
Would probably taste better if it was aged a couple more years, still very good. — 7 months ago
What a nose. Mint and menthol along with dark cherry, some oaky notes, some kirsch touches too. This is a great, multi-layered nose. The palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, some width, some nice mouthfeel, with a good grip. Cherry notes, a bit of tar, make way to a massive ball of a mid palate that introduces a strong layer of tannins, leaving some drying dimension to the mouthfeel over a very long cherry driven finish with that tar thing. It's great stuff! — 2 years ago

Quite medium pale ruby rim, wide garnet rim . Spiced red cherries , quite reserved , and some herbal balsamic , saline hints. On the palate more of the slightly herbal , earthy red cherry , strawberry . Fine and refined , quite fresh acidity and gritty tannins . Good length Needs time but shows good promise and excellent balance . Come back in 5 years , will drink well for a further 5-10. At Vinous Icons NY, Pier 60 , Feb 2025 — 16 days ago
