Powerhouse of resinous, herbal and spice aromas. Dried flower, potpourri, figs, orange peel, spiced herbal tea with essential oils and tar in the background. Heredia and Musar are definitely the leading purveyors of this style, though this is Heredia’s first rosado in several years and very highly anticipated. It does not disappoint. — 8 years ago
Took quite a while to come around. Decanted and aired 4 hours and still quite funky. Poured back in bottle and in frig over night. 2nd night wow what a difference ... not great but very nice. aromatic with orange peel and nuts, balanced with textural acidity — 8 years ago
The last of six bottles and it was brilliant. Crushed, wet and dry stones over pretty lemon curd and orange peel fruit tones. The palate is mature but still vibrant. Hints of hazelnut to accent blood orange and Meyer lemon fruit. It finishes crisp and zingy with a dynamite mineral streak. — 9 years ago
A little hot on the nose with candied orange peel. Very mellowed acidity. Marmalade on toast. — 11 years ago
2006. Ripe stone fruits, lemon peel, baked apple, some petrol — 12 years ago
Concentrated and intense, creamy nectarine, peach pitt, honeysuckle, orange peel. Terrific wine and would never believe how high alcohol. 14.5%. — 8 years ago
The 2016s just came in so I had to rip one open. This might be the best SC ever and that is saying a lot. It’s certainly the best one for early drinking as it was singing with only a splash decant. A return to dark fruits, cedar, orange peel. The life of the party. — 8 years ago

Spiced mango, jasmine, bergamot, black tea, tangerine peel, very juicy and expressive and with plenty of weight. In the mouth there is a wonderful sweet juicy orange, tangerine lead acidity but also an unctuous richness of golden syrup, super ripe stone fruits, a great freshness on the long finish. — 11 years ago
Lovely terrier driven mineral nose with hints a hazelnut laced with lemon peel and Fuji apple fruit. Palate is missing a touch of intensity but mineral and citrus flavors. Thoroughly enjoyable but seeking a bit more complexity. — 7 years ago
Delicious Chardonnay craving more time in bottle. Structured and textured. Round citrus fruit that’s restrained yet weighty. Long finish of clean lemon and orange peel and oh so faintly creamy. — 8 years ago
Bright and vivid on the nose with just a hint of reduction to the crisp apple, tangerine peel, lemon curd and lime fruit aromas. Racy on the entry with lovely salty, mineral based citrus fruit flavors. Zippy focused finish. This should fill out and gain complexity with 3 to 5 more years in the cellar. — 8 years ago

Half-bottle. The wine was medium amber in colour and offered orange peel, apple, honeycomb, caramel, smoke, spices, sherry and a mouldy note on the nose. On the palate the wine showed orange, peach, apple, cane sugar, caramel, smoke, spices, creamy honey, some coffee, a hint of chocolate, sherry, mild black tea and a mouldy note, paired with medium-plus acidity, a creamy honey mouthfeel and very good length. Judged by this half-bottle the wine has just passed its plateau and started its slow journey on the downward slope. A good, medium-bodied Sauternes with lots of botrytis character. Drink now. 89 — 12 years ago

After work grilled cheese and orange wine it’s the little things! I love these wines for some they are a little too funky but I always find them to be on the nicer side of natural! This taste of Orange peel and herbs and dry earth 😋😋 — 7 years ago
