Another weekend is upon us and I have opened this 2013 Yves Boyer-Martenot Meursault-Perriéres 1er Cru Chardonnay to start the weekend off right.

On the nose is beautiful citrus fruit with grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, peach, peach skin and a steely minerality.

On the palate the nose is confirmed with notes of lemon, grapefruit, new peach, green apple, lemon peel and wet river rock.

This wine is full bodied that is well integrated, medium acidity and a long pleasing finish.

I know this is the start of the weekend and they go by very quickly, so have fun, enjoy each day and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Concentrated yellow citrus notes with refreshing acidity. Very fresh and giving now, but with the backbone to age.

Lovely terrier driven mineral nose with hints a hazelnut laced with lemon peel and Fuji apple fruit. Palate is missing a touch of intensity but mineral and citrus flavors. Thoroughly enjoyable but seeking a bit more complexity.

Dry and wet stone notes wrapped around crisp apple, lemon and pear fruit aromas. Quite taut on palate, almost a touch austere. Citrus fruit flavors with oyster shell and stones. Good cut on finish but lacking just a touch of density.

The nose is a bright focused melange of wet stones, sea shells plus a hint of oak wrapped around lemon peel, crisp apple and orange fruit tones. There is lovely precision on the palate that is dominated by stony, mineral spiced flavors of citrus. Lovely mineral intensity is found on the racy finish. Not quite as complex as a bottle this summer but full of upside.

Super nose with notes of pear skin, citrus rind, lemon, a touch of cream and racy wet stone minerality. Young but intense palate with hints of almonds, lemon, crisp apple with superb mineral cut and intensity. Young but so enjoyable with a decant. Offers more complexity as it warms and opens.

2013 vintage--minerals, pears/apples and nutty notes on the nose. Quite reductive on the palate. One of my least favorite wines of the evening.
