V18 disgorged 4/20, so still a young wine that shows that way. Still, very intriguing. Almost no bubbles and is quite dry, almost like an extra brut. There is pencil like minerality that overshadows the subtle pear and apricot finish. This style probably isn’t for everyone but it’s a serious wine with great potential. — 5 years ago
Classic California Chardonnay fruit tones of pear and green apple with a creamy nectarine finish. Elegant like the label. Look forward to seeing how it opens up. Very nice🥰 — 6 years ago
Great strong fruit aroma--I notice pear and pineapple. Creamy and super buttery. The buttery mouthfeel and taste is taken to crazy levels with a creamy pasta...preferred over sipping without food as sensations became dulled. Finish is wonderfully long and exactly what you want if you're looking for a buttery chardonnay. Good value...priced perfectly for taking to a dinner with friends...I loved it and can also see it being appreciated by people "not really into wine" — 6 years ago
This was a bit of a shocker. For $26 I expected some passable sparkling wine, on the order of J Cuvee 20. What we got was a gorgeous nose that leapt from the bottle with grilled pear. Creamy bubbles nearing what a fine champagne can do, a perfect, full but not syrupy mouth feel, and a finish that lasts about a minute, taking you on a tour of the grapes that went into the bottle. Stood up to bacon, mild cheddar, smoked Gouda and brie, and loved her bed goat cheese and manchego. This is damn good wine. — 9 years ago

Tender, amazing chalk and autolytic notes ... Fresh pear and baked green apple - Devine! — 11 years ago
Pale lemon color with stone, citrus and tropical fruit aromas and herb floral scents. On the palate flavors of apples, grapefruit and pear with lemon citrus and chalky notes. Good balance with pleasant lively acidity, medium+ finish ending crisp with mineral, citrus, floral and wet stone nuances. — 9 months ago
Very very light and diluted straw color. Lemon & honeysuckle on the nose. Palate is a bit heavier than I anticipated. Plenty of lemon citrus, white peach, nectarine, some green melon, underripe green pear, and some mineral notes. Tart, but lingers on the palate. I dislike using this word but it’s very quaffable, as they say 🙃. A crowd pleaser. — 5 years ago
Starting the long Labor Day weekend in Big Sur the right way with a little N/V Krug Grande Cuvée. @Nepenthe
Happy Labor Day weekend all! 🍾🥂
Noses reveals; heavy bruised red apple, Bosc pear, overripe pineapple, lemon meringue, tropical melons, lime zest, white spice, sea fossils, deep crisp chalkiness, grey volcanics, yeast & bread dough, nougat, baguette crust, limestone, caramel notes, cream, vanillin framed in yellow lilies, white & spring flowers & mixed greens.
The palate is, ripe, lush, fresh and lively. The mouthfeel all Krug beautiful. Bruised red & golden apple with hints of cider, Bosc pear, overripe pineapple, lemon meringue, tropical melons, white stone fruits, lime zest/candy, white spice, sea fossils, crisp chalkiness, grey volcanics, yeast & bread dough, nougat, baguette crust, limestone, caramel notes, cream, cream soda, vanillin framed in yellow lilies, spring flowers & mixed greens. The acidity is near perfect. The long, elegant, well knitted & balanced finish is gentle until the long set when you get a full presence of white spice and minerality that persists for minutes.

Delicate, vibrant and expressive... This Sauv Blanc is everything...
Grapefruit, ripe pear, jasmine tea and white peach. Long finish ! Enjoyed by itself but could pair well with lots of foods! — 10 years ago
Always love to get my hands on a wine from Corton-Charlemagne.
2009 vintage has a roasted almond flavor with baked pear and bruised apple. Nice acid but the finish drops of a little early. Still. A great representation of the region and variety. This is what I grew up on. — 11 years ago
Aromatic pear and apple, crisp, fresh acidity. — 3 years ago
Outstanding summer Italian white in a great summer of Italian whites. Strong on the minerals to start and then when the wine warms up the pear, apple all come forward. Close to a value buy and easily worth it. — 5 years ago
My first Kosta Browne chard! I like it! Opened it while cooking and it started with a nice lemon essence ... Over time it took on buttery notes with some toasted pear. Pairing just beautifully with my zucchini and pinenut pasta .... I may be deliriously happy, or my wine might taste like creme brûlée. — 5 years ago
Medium gold in the glass. Reticent nose, round malo richness on the palate. Ripe pear and sweet red apple notes.., just enough acid to keep in interesting. Riper that I usually expect from Oregon at 14.2... this is no Chablis! Wine works well with food , but more reminiscent of Sonoma than Willamette. — 6 years ago
Very good. Crisp, smooth, good amount of acidity. Fruits of pear, apricot and a hint of apple. — 8 years ago
Yes I'm buzzed but this cider is amazing. Delicate with burnt marshmallow and can smell the dried pear — 9 years ago

A pale lemon yellow in colour - quite youthful looking for a 12 year old Chardonnay. Aromatics of white peach - mealy and nutty notes, still with a nice acid cut at the finish. Drinking at its peak. Fuller than some Marg River Chardonnays I’ve had lately like Xanadu and Fraser Gallop. I have had richer Art Series Chardonnays but personally I love the balance in this. Tasted in May 2025 the first bottle. Had my 2nd last bottle on 20th September 2025 and it was utterly delicious. Stone fruit and dried pear character to the fore. I will have my last bottle in the coming summer or early 2026 and will make a fresh Delectable note. — 8 months ago
