Truly spectacular! — 2 months ago
Very young. Still somewhat unstructured and tannins that need to mellow. But good potential. — 5 months ago
$25, 2020 vintage, drunk February 2024, with Shibli, loving friend. He and I were quite satisfied. — 8 months ago
Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Pretty nose with wild flowers, red and black fruits, light oak, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, spices, dark chocolates, barnyard, light earth, herbs, licorice and black pepper.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, licorice, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco, tar, vegetables, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 9 year old Syrah from Northern Rhône is drinking very nicely now. Rich and fruit forward.
Extracted and in your face kind of wine. A little stinky, in a good way, as expected. Complex, elegant and smooth.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 7 years.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. I had the 2016 not too long ago, and liked it better.
Good by itself and better with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Toasty nose, almond finish. Fine bubbles. Enjoyable. — 5 months ago
Funk smell, apple-forward taste, acidic, pretty dry — 7 months ago
Tasted the young 2020 and loved it. Full body but nice fruit forward. Aging only 20% of volume in oak gives wine perfect amount of oakiness. Putting these babies away for several years and will be looking forward to them. Was a family favorite. — 2 months ago
Great Chablis. Not as good as Valions from same producer. Rich pallet with good acidity. 8/10 — 2 months ago
A bit disappointing for this producer. A bit flabby — 3 months ago
Opened about 8 hours prior to service and Audouze’d. The 1995 pours a pale garnet with a transparent core and a watery rim. There significant variation of the rim too. The viscosity is medium and there is no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing (still!) with notes of bright red cherries, anise, garrigue, cedar forest, leather, dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The body is quite light and thin…but healthy. The finish is medium. Very pretty; very Burgundian. This bottle belies its age. Drink now and through 2030. — 4 months ago
