Wonderful. Deep color with raspberry notes. — 7 years ago
Spectacular, well balanced Okanagan wine. Floral with Lilly of the Valley and subtle fruits of apple and pear on the nose. Nice acidity with lemon on the approach and stone fruit on the finish. Loved it. — 9 years ago
Tried côte à côte with the Gruaud Larose 375ml, this was a little one dimensional, primary fruit, showing more oak, think it needs another 5 years. — 9 years ago

Bordeaux wine dinner; 6/18/15: Pichon Lalande 1990 - Lighter color than others, I think passing its prime. A little dry on the finish but perfectly nice still. Gruaud Larose 1989 - Very classic nose and palate of cedar and pine notes. Most silky palate of the bunch. Two at the table thought it was wine of the night. Not as much to my taste but very much classic Gruaud. Cos 1986 - Funky barnyard nose. Deep palate with still strong tannin, but plenty of fruit coming through. Liked it but there was some brett there that to me, hurt. Lynch Bages 1985 - For me, the wine of the night, largely due to the truly stunning nose. A tad dry on the palate but still long finish of dark fruit. — 10 years ago
Fantastic Bordeaux blend. My favorite Kiwi wine and truly a world class wine. The 2009 is nearing peak but has many years of enjoyment left — 10 years ago

Notes of honeysuckle ripe pear, pineapple, cinnamon and peach on the nose, with flavors of banana bread, praline and hazelnuts on the finish. Paired perfectly with grilled mussels. — 7 years ago
Was purchased at Berns. Had a wax cap which I believe kept it in great shape. Was stunning after 103 years. — 8 years ago
