2022/2. This was the first bottle of this that I’ve had that seemed like it might be closing - if only a bit. — 2 years ago

Honey, lemon, and hints of minerality. This is something special. — 4 years ago
A shy nose with subdued green apple, a hint of green reine Claude plum, very fresh & pure.
On the palate this is defined by the juicy, electric acidity - so fresh, pure & alive. Great depth and definition with a beautiful mineral backbone. Amazing with food!
Great stuff! — 5 months ago
Deep red color. Bright aromas and flavors of red berry/cassis fruit, wet soil, dark chocolate and baking spices. A pronounced vanilla note on the mid-palate. Well balanced but a bit short on the finish. Very smooth tannins. Young and fruit forward. Could benefit from additional bottle age. Thank you for sharing this one, Chris B! — 6 months ago
2022/8. As I’ve noted lately, it feels like the de Villaine whites have added another level in the last several years - deeper, more complex and more satisfying, without sacrificing any joyousness and without trying to be Meursault or anything like that. — 2 years ago
Is there a better $25 Red Burg out there? — 4 years ago
2023 fall. Prices are creeping up and up, but this still is worth it for me — 5 months ago
I agree w/ @Alan Weinberg - a great bottle, especially for the price. 2010 still drinking great with years to go. — 7 months ago
Absolutely love this producer. Maybe the best in the entire Mâcon. The rully blanc is pure and citrus driven with a salinity that won’t quit. Oyster shells on the nose as well as essential oils. Turns out the rouge is ‘rully’ good as well! Bright red fruits on the nose,
Super clean and fresh with some width to it as well. These are priced like every night wines but deliver like something that is a real treat — 2 years ago
