The 2011, absurdly good, the structure was woven and perfect, and the combination of red fruit and richness and earthiness was absolutely heaven. — 9 months ago

Château Haut-Plantey

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2011

Big WOW! I tasted this wine in September 2018 at the event held by the French embassy at Central World in Bangkok, Thailand; the wine did not impress my tounge at all. However, I bought 2 bottles because a friend of mine imported it. Today (Jan 18, 2019), the wine tasted very delucious after 30 minutes of breathing. Very flavorfull of cherry, blackberry, plum, and tobacco together with soft tannins and silky & reasonable length on the finish. The color is intense but bright ruby red color with medium-to-full-weight which is goes well with medium & sexy acidity. Very good value, excellent balanced, and savory wine to pair well with medium spicy Thai dishes. — 6 years ago

Château Roudier

Montagne-Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1995

Delicious. Medium tannins, fading to oak. Opened this for a dinner party which was unfortunately cut short, leading to it lingering over the next few days. By day 3, tannins and acidity on the rise. Still, a remarkably good vintage. — 6 months ago

Tastes like good St Emilion. Cassis, red fruit, earthworm, minerals, nice smooth tannins, some pine and slight cocoa. Lovely. 93. — 9 months ago

It is rare that such a youthful Saint-Emilion Grand Crú would be so approachable if not robust . This is a remarkable value that I bought en primeur 2018 and is a wow value. — 10 months ago

Lush, full bodied Bordeaux at a ridiculous value. Dense but balanced. All the usual notes of blackberry coulis, currants etc but, man, just eye opening fruit that still feels old school. — 9 months ago
