Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of alpine strawberry, red currant, red cherry, wild herbs, lightly floral; dry, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; lovely, light, perfumed and spicy — 4 years ago
See previous notes - just an outstanding CdP white comprising 80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and a few other varieties. Lovely aromatics of musk, apricot and pear. The palate is rich without being heavy - a note of mandarin. Medium minus acid. Just delicious - finding yourself reaching for another glass. Easter Sunday aperitif. — 5 years ago
Mid Lemon in colour. More Lime juice than the recently tasted Crawford River. A slight paraffin note also. On the palate lime and grapefruit of medium plus intensity with medium minus acidity. The merest hint of stone fruit. Cruising at 10 years of age and could go on for a couple more years. My last one from 2010. — 5 years ago
Medium minus garnet. Very fresh and fruity hibiscus, raspberry, stemmy, licorice. Medium body (13.3%), pretty high acid, medium minus powdery astringency. Lovely balance. Better without food. — 8 years ago
Pale to medium garnet; medium plus intensity aromas of red cherry, cranberry, dried herbs, forest floor, underbrush; dry, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, high alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; lovely earthy and complex — 4 years ago
Lemon in colour. Notes of almond, citrus and apricot. The blend is 85% Garganega and 15% Trebbiano di Soave. The latter grape gives a more luscious feel on the palate than you would expect showing peach, ripe apple and mineral. Has filled out nicely since its youth. A lovely wine at its peak with medium minus acid. — 5 years ago
Tart red fruit nose of raspberry, cranberry, and cherry. Bright cherry, on the palate with cranberry, rhubarb, fresh blackberry, and white pepper. Medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid. A smooth, medium bodied pinot that matched grilled salmon perfectly. — 5 years ago
It's time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday . Here's a nice one from Saint Emilion.
Dark ruby in color with a short brick/ reddish rim.
On the nose, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, spices, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark earth and coffee. Not very powerful though.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, diet cola, coffee, earth, vegetables and wet leaves.
Medium minus on the finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.
This 8 year old is drinking nicely now, although not from a great vintage. Easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel and nice complexity. Showing some over ripen fruits, which might be a storage issue. A good food wine, though.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
I had it blind, and called Right Bank Bordeaux 2011.
A blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels for 15 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Fruity, not too harsh — 6 years ago
1hr+ decant. Dark red, almost purple color. I wavered across the spectrum on this from 92 to 95. Strengths = Bordeaux like nose with cherries and cedar, silky texture, refined flavor on the palate. Opportunities = medium minus depth, very short finish, was expecting more fruit. 92.5 and rounding up. Torn on if it needs more or less air. — 4 years ago
Blueberries, pomegranate, medium minus tannins, savory, delicious. — 5 years ago
Almost Nebbiolo like in the glass, minus the crazy tannins. Lots of turned earth, crunchy strawberries, raspberries, tar, dry, very nice acidity. Such a beauty with spaghetti and meatballs. Arianna is making some seriously delicious and expressive stuff! — 5 years ago
Nose is cranberry, dark cherry, menthol, and cinnamon. The palate features more cranberry, tart cherry, raspberry, and fresh strawberry. High acid, light tannin, and medium minus alcohol. Nice light sipper. — 5 years ago
Had the 2103 vintage, on the sweet side, but not sickeningly sweet. — 6 years ago

Absolutely fantastic. This is a wine we check in on every now and then - we served it at our wedding so there is some nostalgia. I never would have guessed this was a 2007 - this particular bottle at least. Beautiful ripe southern rhone fruit, but still quite balanced. Tannins are medium, acid medium minus, finish is long. Really wonderful with burgers on the grill. — 4 years ago
