Prisvärt och right up my ally! Lite koda, choklad, kiwi, salmiak, lite barrskog och len men ändå mustig i truten/flabben. In på hansa och hugg den. 👌😌 — 6 years ago
A discovery. Very Tuscan, but not colli senesi, nor Chianti. It comes from Pisa. An original blend. Was good with light cheese and artisanal ham — 7 years ago
Pretty solid.... Cherry cola notes, while secondary. Tilled soil, dusty, kimchi, arugula.... — 9 years ago

Verdicchio dei castelli di Jesi DOC 2011, Classico Superiore, 13%. An excellent sample of what Verdicchio should look, and taste: the right balance of fruits and flowers aromas. Very satisfying! — 11 years ago

Dry and fresh. Slight rich. Citrus, pineapple. Slightly stimulated on my tongue. Quite good balance between fruitiness and acidity. 2021 @1980, Toscany JH, 230813-230815 — 9 months ago

Very easy to drink. Smooth. — 2 years ago
What a surprise! A must try, this 2015 vintage is exceeded my expectations. It brings everything I expect from Tuscany and more. Unfortunately I drank it to fast to experience all the changes to come. Thankfully I have more. — 4 years ago
Really good Bolgheri, great value. Refined and nicely arrayed palate of cocoa, chocolates and dark red fruit. The Syrah adds some oomph and structure. A yummy candied cherry quality and grippy tannins suggest additional cellar time could be rewarded. — 5 years ago
Just a little different but still familiar. Easy to drink. Paired nicely with pizza.

Sicilian wine from the base of Mount Etna. 95% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Soft but chalky, earthy, more low tones, herbaceous but not too much. Medium body, slight rhubarb, but again- not in the way wines can be when they are too young to drink. Really lovely wine. Apparently, the winery is no longer making wine due to lack of interest from the family heirs. — 11 years ago
Delicious, dark fruity. Very interesting wine! — 9 months ago
The 2022 Falanghina Caulino is understated, with honeyed florals, ground ginger and wet stones. It’s soft and round, almost oily in feel, with crisp acidity as ripe orchard fruits soothe the senses. This leans toward the tropical spectrum while remaining nicely balanced by salty mineral tones. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2023) — 10 months ago
Suoer delicious, smooth. Light — 4 years ago
Mushroomy earthiness provides a nice accent to the cherry and raspberry fruit. Notes of tobacco linger on the finish. — 5 years ago
Woodsy and violet bright fruit and currant and dried cherry on the nose l. Classic zing in the center or the palate. Exquisitely smooth and elegant and with a bouncy tannin.. Warm deep finish. — 5 years ago
Old school rustic Italian, quite dark fruited, salty. Medium body. Very tannic on the back end, very structured wine. Substantial acid. Needs a couple hours of air to come together and show properly. Pair with 🍝 for a pretty pretty good time. // turns into something special on day 2 — 6 years ago
Across the board, complex at every turn. Although this showed some age, having been harvested I've 16 years earlier, this monster is still gripping with significant aroma of dried rose, earth & pencil shavings. Slight aldehydic notes on the finish, loads of tannin, high alcohol, acidity, complexity & length. Could probably still cautiously age another 5-10 years. — 10 years ago
Nice fruit concentration. Long. — 11 years ago
