Clos du Roi Mercurey Pinot Noir 2016

The French are as true to their Burgundy as American politicians are to lying. Sublime, smooth and deep…even for a non-lover of pino this wine delivers. — 9 hours ago

Domaine de la Bressande Mercurey Pinot Noir 2018

Clear dark purple red. Inviting nose and medium palate of tart black cherry, weak tea, and a hint of tarry earth. Medium plus acidity; very low tannins. A wee bit New World for my taste but that’s to be expected at this price point. Definitely still a Burgundy, though, and a perfect match for just about any meal from the Old World or the New. Drink now through 2028. — a month ago

La Fortune Côte Chalonnaise Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019

Just a very enjoyable wine. Dangerous in that it’s so easy and compelling to drink. Decanted 2+ hours, quite ready to go at that point. Probably would have guessed a nice Beaujolais from the nose. Palate is so wonderfully seamless with excellent fruit and completeness and acid, with some serious density. Delicious with the standard Sunday night roast chicken with mushrooms. — a month ago

Reserved with hints of perfume and wood. Felt a bit young and I'm guessing it will develop a lot. — an hour ago

Champs Martin Mercurey 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Very young but exceedingly enjoyable. Tannic structure is omnipresent but the fruit freshness is unmistakable. This wine will have much more to Ofer after years in the cellar. — a month ago
