See many previous notes. Holding up comfortably from this excellent cooler vintage . 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Shiraz. I am lucky to have 6 bottles left from back in the day when I bought 2 dozen. Definitely drinking on the plateau and will carry on for a while yet. Medium weight palate but with great length and persistence. Will probably consume the rest over the next 3 to 4 years. Penfolds 2020 collection (17 wines)just released in Australia. The 2018 Bin 389 received 96 points from Halliday. The 2016 Grange is being talked about as one of the greats - 99 points from Halliday. — 6 years ago

Had at 54 Mint in San Francisco. Loved it! — 8 years ago
Nose of currant, black cherry, licorice, light roasted coffee, peppery spices, and hint of soy sauce. Medium to full body with cascading acidity and silky candied tannins.
A charming Bordeaux blend of 54/41/5 CS/Merlot/CF from the famed DuBrul estate vineyard that’s drinking beautifully now. — 4 years ago
Elegant, balanced Fino. 100% Palomino from Macharnudo Alto, the highest point in Jerez and one of the region’s “grand crus”(also the source of Valdespino’s Inocente Fino and Tío Diego Amontillado). Fermented in old casks and aged for 10 years. — 5 years ago
The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Estate covers an area of 190 hectares, 54 which are vineyards, 4 are olive groves, 87 which are wooded and 45 are planted with new vines. Deep Ruby with a berry fruit aromas blossom and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry & strawberry flavors, with leather, cacao and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy oak finish. — 6 years ago
Vintage 2018 / Thanks! winefriend @Jaap Cuijpers knows that I like very curious grapes and he introduced me to Incrocio Bruni 54. There are only 32 acres vineyard with this grape, a crossing from sauvignon and verdicchio bianco. The wine is from the Marche region. It went excellent with a piperade of vegetables and baked flounder (Fr: limande Nl: schar) and a selection of goats cheese. — 7 years ago

This stuff was absolutely amazing. Like, a baby SQN, and not near the price. Certified organic, and owned by two Dallas natives!
A blend of 2 great vineyards: Paderewksi (which is used in some of the Saxum wines), and Catapult.

Blend of 54% Cab Sauv, 34% Merlot & 12% Cab Franc. Deep Ruby with aromas of pronounced dark fruits, sweet spice, floral and herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, blueberry and plum with notes of cacao, cedar and subtle herb spice. Well balanced with acidity, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy mineral character. Nice! — 5 years ago
Well, after 3 months of keto and having lost a grand total of 54 pounds I’m finally back to drinking wine 🔥 My wife suggested we celebrate by drinking Aaron Pott’s single vineyard Cabernet from the Kicu Ma vineyard in Spring Mountain. Fantastic pick, Babe (@Krystal Vento)
Upon visual analysis the color is deep and rich in its youthfulness. On the nose a lovely perfume of dried potpourri, lavender, plum, clove, graphite, and sweet vanilla. The palate...the palate absolutely blew me away. Incredibly suave and velvety with arguably one of the most plush yet lively mouthfeels I’ve experienced in years. Stewed blueberries, blackberries, and plums with muddled spices. I also detect the inorganic trappings of graphite, along with moist wood shavings. This is truly a sensuous and extravagant wine that is Spring Mountain on full display in all its glory. — 6 years ago

Gary Vee club selection! Amazing!
Red fruit, leather, bell pepper, mint. Lucious mouth feel with some spice at the end. It’s Medoc but 54% Merlot which is unusual. But it is delish. — 7 years ago
54% Grenache 38% Mourvèdre 8% Syrah. Purple red, medium extracted. Light Brett and blue fruit in nose, later, strawberry and mint notes emerge. Strawberry and cherry flavors, medium tannins and astringency initially, a tad hot? Eucalyptus aftertaste. Allow one hour to open. Overall, a surprising expression of these two to three-ish varietals. — 8 years ago
Remarkably brilliant ruby color, Smokey nose of dark fruits and leather, rich smooth almost juicy flavors of red and dark fruit - simply amazing for a 54 year old wine. — 8 years ago
Clear rich Crimson in colour. Whiff of wood varnish which blew off. Spicy - not as much pepper as usual. Cherries and supple savoury tannins. Medium bodied. One of my favourite Aussie Reds in the $20 to $30 category. 2nd ranked cuvée to their much vaunted "Langi" Shiraz. Tasted again 54 weeks later with totally consistent notes. Tasted beside Salo Syrah, from the much vaunted Hawkes Bay NZ District for Syrah. I preferred the Langhi. — 9 years ago

Last night I opened the 2009 Château Cambon la Pelouse. Left Bank Bordeaux from Macau in the Haut-Medoc. A blend of 54% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, tobacco, licorice, cedar, charcoal anddark earth.
On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, cedar, licorice and pencil shavings.
This wine is full bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel medium acidity and medium fine tannins that leaves you with a medium to medium + long fleshy dark fruit earthy finish. Please have a wonderful weekend and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago
