2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes. Spicy, full nose with suggestions of power. Spices coming through in the flavors with this showing a medium-heavy body currently. Some great orange peel/zest in there as well. Intense and needing 3-5 years to loosen the death grip on your palate slightly. Can see this bumping up to a 9.4 in those next 3-5 years. 6.13.24. — 3 days ago
Flash tasting; no formal notes. The 2019 “Clos des Chênes” is a light ruby; elegant and lithe with modest structure. Balanced but too youthful at this stage. Better after 2029. — 6 months ago
Starts quite earthy, brambly, almost mushroomy, and dark stewed fruit. Opens really nicely after an hour to crunchy stemmy blackberry and cherry. — 3 months ago
