This is very similar to Les Jardins Philosophiques from the sister property Bouscasse, with a bit more nutty lightly oxidative notes that almost points you to Jura Blanc. Textured body contrasts the crisp acidity nicely.
Usually a blend of Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng, but the back label shows 100% Petit Courbu for 2015. This will cruise for another 5-8 years. — 8 months ago
2019 vintage. Previous owner Alain Mouiex (also Château Fonroque) sold this tiny (less than 3 hectares) estate to the owners of Château Sansonnet, Cadet Soutard, Villemaurine and Harmonie in 2015, the Lefévère family. Tasting this excellent 2019, it seems that Marie-Bénédicte Lefévère is doing a great job here. Made from 100% Merlot, it is lush and restrained at the same time. Ripe, layered fruit, fresh acidity, and a distinctive minerality make the 14,5% alcohol go unnoticed. Excellent value too, highly recommended. — a year ago

Bought the bottle at the winery in France. Raspberry and dark fruit bouquet. Delicate up front. Soft earthy taste in the middle. Leather and vanilla(?) on the back. Medium earthy finish. Perfect with Chicago deep dish pizza! Definitely not a fruit bomb from California! — 9 months ago
2018 vintage. A more flashy, extracted style compared to stable mates Villemaurine and Sansonnet, but very well done. — a year ago
