Dark ruby/ purple in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of black fruits with cedar, chocolates, spices, herbs and light earth.
Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and very fruity with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, toast, light vanilla, dark chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light earth, black tea and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious 8 year old Cabernet based blend from Napa Valley. Fruit forward with nice complexity. Showing a soft mouthfeel, elegant and rich.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with some air time.
Drinking at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 12% Sangiovese. Aged in (90% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Held up well over the last 28 years! Took a gamble on some birthday wine and it payed off well. Prominent bricking and the cork obviously fell apart, but the wine maintained the rustic, leathery notes of age, with hints of black tea, overripe plum, and some lingering acidic energy, like a ripe strawberry with some dark chocolate. Medium bodied, with some leathery, smoky ash over the dark cherry like fruit, there’s notes of cranberry and strawberry compote still alive in here. The finish lingers for a while, fresh, but not acidic with tannins that only really started to show after a few hours of opening. Grippy, but well integrated. If the measure of a great wine is in its ability to last, this wine has earned the title despite poor storage conditions and lack of faith from its sellers. — 7 months ago
Low sulfites from Italy. — 9 months ago
Another easy to drink at pop & pour. It’s a blend of 30% Syrah, 20% Cab Franc, 16% Merlot, only 10% Sangiovese, 6% Petit Verdot & 2% Grenache. As IGT as IGT can get. At 59.95 a bit pricey. Better at $45.
Nice ripe; blackberries, dark and slightly sour cherries, black plum skin, moist clays, muddy sandstone, pleasant spice, light, fresh tobacco, used leather, touch of tomato leaf, moist, mushy volcanic minerals, dry twig, dusty stones, dark & red, withering flowers, round acidity, well balanced, soft tension, mid structured, round lush finish that lasts 90 seconds and falls on oak powder, spice and pleasant soils. — a year ago

Got this bottle on my last Virgin Voyage and I had extra $ on my bar tab - a fantastic opportunity to purchase a couple exclusive (expensive) bottles like this. Sassicaia is a known leader in Super Tuscans. My first time trying Sassicaia… opened the bottle only for a couple of hours but a big beautiful bouquet of big jammy goodness that definitely isn’t shy. Wow 🤩 a delicious wine that doesn’t disappoint! — 5 months ago
What a lovely wine! The nose is a bit deceiving of what is coming upon the first sip and it just keeps getting better! Extremely smooth and the full flavors seem to be delayed and then just swell at the back of the throat and on the tongue. This is Tuscan wine that is truly “super Tucsan”! No wonder it has a solid 93 points across the board! — 6 months ago
May be catching me at just the right time but I love it. Great core, well balanced and very promising. Pleasant surprise thought it’s really young — 7 months ago
Powerful aroma including cassis blackberry and cherry, oak vanilla. Chalk mineral. 30 min, much better, but not necessary for deep decanting. Almost 2019 Lucente 21 @6500, Bic - Oren I G, 250922-250924 — 8 months ago

Not as good as the '21. This year offers 40% Merlot, 32% Cab Franc, 23% Cab Sauv and 5% Petite Verdot. IGT. Olive tamponade, a bit dusty and cedar opener. Full mouthfeel and very drinkable now, but this might benefit from a time out for a while. — 6 months ago
This is a very punchy, rich wine, likely a blend of Sangiovese with some bordeaux cépages like Cabernet. Actually works very well with rich food and has enough acidity and balance. Not our prime stuff in style but honestly was really good. — 9 months ago
