Great nose. Complex and smooth as velvet. — 3 months ago
A very nice, “normal” Auslese at 22 years with 10 more possible. Clean fruit, medium-bodied, and not overly sweet. — 8 months ago
Great, bold, heavily spiced Napa Cab. that stood out like the arrogant American tourist with the European elegance of the flight. Being American, it made me smile. Let it breathe, it settled down and showcased why it deserved a seat at the table. (I may have enjoyed listening to the gentleman across from me have to take back his initial thoughts) — 2 years ago
Black cherries stand out against earthy beet and blackberry. Graphite rings and smoke curls around bay and sage, acanthus and peppercorn. Green in spots and muted on the palate, this one is unfortunately young and missing something. Pepper and cedar overpower the fruits and the tannins are aggressive here, giving a stemmy impression. May develop over time but gangly and awkward here.

2004 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Used a Durand but cork was great. Top-notch fill. Super chunky sed..like vintage port. Nose good, not great, but biggie structure and balance all there. Medium body. Not a personal fave but may hafta pick up a few more of these for those inclined to partake. There will be 2004 Insignia going steady for quite some time. 12.22.23. — 4 months ago
Pop and pour. A bit under a year since my last btl. May 2016 lot, Aug 2019 disg. 5 g/L dosage. On the nose: lemon, baked apple with a touch of butter. On the palate: soft mousse, lovely meyer lemon and apple. Fantastic density and acidity. Crisp, yet good weight. Still young, but very yummy. — 2 years ago
2021, $16, excellent bargain. Excellent attack, seems to drop off in the finish. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2014 | With the famous label of a monk that examines a glass of wine | Beautiful tropical fruit expression in smell, passion fruit and peach. Light gold colour, nice acidity on the tongue and sweet aftertaste. Vibrant, beautiful. Tasted on its own yesterday and today with a slice of toast with Bleu d’Auvergne. Life is good. — 6 months ago

Piacevole artigianalita. Naturally expressive. Quite untouched fruit. Finish a bit harsh. May improve. — 15 days ago
