Willamette Valley Teroldego Schioppettino 2020

Blend of two varietals from Italy (Friuli and Alto Adige) rarely grown in US. 37 cases made. Ruby red, very good clarity, medium pigment extraction. Red fruit aromas, flavors of pomegranate, tart cherry, black currant and a touch of plum, not quite cola. Lots of tannins, seed and skin, so decant at least one hour, preferably longer. Good body, lighter style in terms of alcohol, nice balance of fruit, tannins and acid. Props to the winemaking team at Illahe for staying experimental and testing new varieties’ adaptability to growing conditions in Oregon. — 9 months ago

Percheron Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

I would have liked to have tasted this wine, but my son played an April Fool’s Day trick on me.
He received this bottle from a friend and it was already uncorked. He wanted me to taste it because I love Pinot noir and I told him this was a good one! He said he would pour me a small sample to taste, and out came purple colored water! He really got me this year! He and his fiancée said yes, it was very good, they had it with their supper the night before! Now I have to get a real bottle to try!

@TwiLea Fletcher Is that a trademark I see after “whole cluster”?? I thought it was odd that they would put that on the label…

Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2021

Ruby with perfumed aromas of fruit, floral and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of strawberry and cherry with floral notes, spice and hints of oak. Fine soft tannins, medium+ finish, good balance ending with fruit, spice and sweet earthy floral notes. — 5 months ago

Estate Willamette Valley Grüner Veltliner 2021

Not much aroma on this one. Lime and tropical flavors, good acidity. Fermented in acacia barrels, and you can taste that. No guava or mango flavors in this vintage — a year ago
